In this belt buckle, the second layer forms a magnificent Warrior Mudhead Kachina, Corn Stalk, Arrow, Water Wave, and border pattern designs that gives the piece an outstanding look. The Kipok Koyemsi or Warrrior Mud Head is mainly seen in the summer dances with the clowns. He is sometimes seen during the fast parade. His main function is a hunter of the clowns, he is known for the punishing of misbehaving Kachina’s and for the most part they are usually clowns. The corn is a powerful symbol in many tribes. It is used for prayer of fertility and a good growing season. Belt buckle is stamped sterling and hallmarked.
