DESCRIPTION:

This lovely necklace set is a work of art and has everything you could possibly want from a piece of Native American jewelry! This Native American jewelry set is Navajo hand crafted and strung, by artist Elton James out of genuine sterling silver, along with Turquoise and Corals. The set is reversible it can be worn on either side, one side being Turquoise and the other side being Coral (it's like having two sets in one). The necklace is composed of one Naja (the crescent-shaped large center pendant) and double strands of 8-mm silver eccentric beads placed at regular intervals among the round side of the center. In between the eccentric beads, the side links are attached to three petals which are called squash blossoms. In this set, there is a total of THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-EIGHT settings. The necklace has a total of THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-EIGHT settings (ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-NINE on each side). The settings are carefully set in hand cut bezel, while being accented with twisted silver and mini silver beads. Entire traditional necklace is flexible "not stiff". The necklace is stamped sterling. The reversible earrings match the side likes in this necklace perfectly and have a total of FORTY FOUR settings (TWENTY-TWO in each earring and ELEVEN on each side) that are delicately placed in hand cut bezel, while highlighted with twisted silver and mini silver beads that can be seen adding style for a fabulous traditional look.

Corals are known to be very soothing and very protective. Coral is of an organic origin; it is the skeletal remains of marine animals called Coral Polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

Bought my second ring made by the artist Ray Jack. The first had mine 8 Turquose and I received many compliments on it. Of my over twenty Native American rings it is at the top. I Leary’s wanted an Inlay Navajo ring to add to my collection and having Ray Jack as the artist just made it better.
