DESCRIPTION:
Looking at such beauty tells the capabilities of Native American art! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted, by artist Lee Shorty, out of authentic sterling silver and a man made Blue Opal stone. The stone is carefully placed in a hand cut bezel setting while twisted silver, mini silver beads, and hand crafted scalloped leaf designs accent the ring for a gorgeous finish. The ring is stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
