DESCRIPTION:

This is truly an outstanding pendant that will make a great impression! This piece of Native American jewelry is Hopi overlay hand crafted by artist George Phillips out of genuine sterling silver. Overlay is a process that utilizes at least two layers of sterling silver. One layer forms the foundation, while the second layer is used to design the individual detailed overlay. In this pendant, the second layer forms a magnificent Kokopelli And Corn Stalk design. The Kokopelli is a common fertility symbol throughout the Southwest. In Native American beliefs, the Kokopelli visits various communities, seducing and impregnating the young women drawn to the tones of his flute playing. The corn is a powerful symbol in many tribes. It is used for prayer of fertility and a good growing season. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

“ Two articles were perfectly alright. The third one, a pin, has a gap in the apron of the oyster. It also lacks the actual pin for pinning it to something. No needle or anything similar. ”
