DESCRIPTION:

This pair of earrings is a true treasure! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by artist Norton Kinsel, out of genuine sterling silver and Malachite stones. This pair of earrings has a total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) that are carefully set in a hand cut bezel setting, while hand crafted silver work creates a charming turtle design for a delightful finish. In Native American beliefs, the turtle represents strength, female power, and fertility. The turtle is also considered to be able to defy death. 

Malachite is famous for its radial banding and deep green color. Popular today for use in Southwestern style jewelry, malachite was also popular in the past with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. It was worn as a good luck charm to keep away danger and illness. It is believed to balance and stabilize ones emotions.
