Necklace measures approximately 18-3/4" long. This necklace weighs 41 grams. 

DESCRIPTION: 

This amazing beaded necklace depicts the beauty and elegance of the great Southwest! This piece of Southwestern jewelry is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise beads. The necklace consists of: 2-mm silver round beads and Turquoise free formed beads that have an average measurement of 11-mm. Each end of the necklace is highlighted with a silver cone and bead for a wonderful finish. The cones are stamped sterling.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
