Hook dangle earrings measure approximately 1-7/8" long (including hook) and 3/8" wide.

DESCRIPTION:

This is a wonderful piece of Navajo artistry! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Lorenzo Arviso, out of genuine sterling silver and a real Turquoise bead. The bead is placed in the center of a silver web design, while a silver feathers dangles at the end of each earring for a beautiful finish. It is believed that each carefully woven web will catch your bad dreams in the night. The bad spirit dreams will get caught in the web and disappear with the morning sun. However, the good spirit dreams will find their way to the center spirit hole and will float down the sacred feather. Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force. 

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
