DESCRIPTION:

Expect plenty of compliments while wearing this stunning ring! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted with imprinted designs by artist Josephina. The Opal stone is gently set in hand cut bezel for a gorgeous finish! The ring is stamped Zuni and by the artist.

Sterling Silver is a metal, which consists of 92.5 percent silver and 7.5 percent copper. Although any metal can make up the 7.5% of non-silver component, years of study have shown that copper is most compatible, while aiding the solidity and durability of the metal without harming its beautiful color. The small amount of 7.5% copper added to all silver has almost no effect on the metals overall value. Due to the durability of sterling silver it is not only used for jewelry, but household accessories as well. Silver is known to last a lifetime with the proper care.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
