DESCRIPTION:

Looking at such beauty tells the capabilities of Native American art! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted out of genuine sterling silver & manmade Pink Opal stones. The barrette has TWO manmade Pink Opal stones that is gently set in hand cut bezel settings. Enhancing its beauty, 6 small sterling silver beads are set surrounding the stone. Imprinted designs including feather patterns can be seen accenting the barrette for a fascinating finish. For extra strength and durability certain parts of the hair barrette are made out of nickel!

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Sanskrit word "Upala" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
