MATERIALS: Sterling Silver and real Turquoise. MEASUREMENTS: Post dangle earrings measure approximately 1-7/8" long and 3/8" at widest point. DESCRIPTION:
This pair of earrings is a true treasure! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Annie Spencer, out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise stones. This pair of earrings has a total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) that are carefully placed in hand cut bezel settings and are complimented by beautiful twisted silver. Feather designs add style for a lovely traditional look. A total of FOUR shining silver feathers can be seen dangling from each earring for a perfect finish! Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force. The earrings are stamped sterling and hallmarked. Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
