DESCRIPTION:

This is a wonderful piece of Navajo artistry! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo overlay hand crafted by artist Stanley Gene, out of genuine sterling silver. Overlay is a process that utilizes at least two layers of sterling silver or 12KGF. One layer forms the foundation, while the second layer is used to design the individual detailed overlay.  In this pair of earrings, the second layer forms a lovely man in a maze design for a magnificent look. In Native American belief, the symbol of the man in a circular maze of seven paths represents the paths and cycles of life one must be guided through. The imagery represents the journey of life and is deeply connected to one's own ancestry in the path they take. This symbol represents the idea that life's journey is not always easy. The earrings are stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Just got my Pottery and silver jewelry. If it lasts as good as it looks, Great. It appears to be well made and the pot is gorgeous. My wife is very happy with her 50th Wedding Anniversary gifts.

Quality not up to previous purchases

I own a full set of items for men by Effie Calavaza: bolo and ring bought in Santa Fe (both of them fairly old), and a buckle and wristwatch bought from Native American Jewelry. The buckle I purchased from NAJ recently was splendid, but the wristwatch that came a few days ago was of inferior workmanship and material, done I suspect by one of Effie's daughters. Nevertheless, I intend to keep using NAJ.
