DESCRIPTION:

This is a very gorgeous bracelet that would make a great gift! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Martha Livingston, out of genuine sterling silver and real multicolor inlay. The inlay consists of: Turquoise, Denim, Lapis, Jet, Pink Shell, and Oyster Shell. The inlay is gently set, while thin silver lines add style for a perfect finish. The bracelet is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

Lapis is the perfect stone for wisdom and fortitude. It is also believed to be an excellent stone for decision makers. It helps increase psychic ability.

Pink Mussel Shell is a freshwater material that originates in the Mississippi Basin area of the USA. The soft pink, iridescent color of this shell gives it a warm, pleasant appeal.

I saw a very similar bracelet in a shop in Santa Fe, NM but it was much too pricey for me. I thought I would never have such a beautiful piece of Navajo history and culture. I came home from my vacation, found this website and ordered this lovely bracelet

I looked over the selection many times before deciding on my selection. i was concerned about the ring looking as it did in the photo and the size being true. i was pleasantly surprised on both accounts, the ring looked much better in real life.
