DESCRIPTION:

There is nothing at all average about this beautiful pendant! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Jerome Yazzie, out of genuine sterling silver and real multicolor inlay. The inlay consists of: Turquoise, Lapis, Mother of Pearl, along with Red & Orange Oyster Shell. The inlay is delicately set, while being accented with twisted silver, mini silver beads, and hand crafted silver work for a spectacular finish. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

Lapis is the perfect stone for wisdom and fortitude. It is also believed to be an excellent stone for decision makers. It helps increase psychic ability.

    Gorgeous!
Posted by Miranda P. | Reviewing NativeAmericanJewelry.com | Posted on
I have restarted a collection of American Indian jewelry, and this piece does not disappoint. It fits so comfortably that I do not feel it, yet it's substantial. I love the little details, down to the hammering in the band that catches light. It was worth every penny and then some!!!
