DESCRIPTION:
This is a very exquisite pendant that must not be overlooked! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Henry Attakai, out of genuine sterling silver and a man made Opal stone. The stone is carefully placed in a hand cut bezel setting, while hand cut silver work forms a wonderful tear drop shape for an incredible finish. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is birthstone of October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
