DESCRIPTION:

This gorgeous pin pendant is absolutely distinctive in each and every way! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by artist Emma Edaakie, out of genuine sterling silver, White Opal, Blue Opal, Yellow Opal, and Red Opal inlay. The inlay is gently set, creating an adorable butterfly design. Thin silver lines and hand cut silver work can be seen accenting for a marvelous finish. The pin pendant is signed Zuni and hallmarked.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
