DESCRIPTION:

This gorgeous ring is absolutely distinctive in each and every way! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Jeanette Saunders, out of genuine sterling silver and a real Turquoise stone. The stone is delicately set in silver bezel, while being accented with mini silver beads, cut through patterns, and an eagle design that highlights each side of the ring for a gorgeous finish. In some beliefs, the eagle is the master of the sky; he is considered to be a carrier of prayers. Many of the Indian Nations admire the eagle for bravery and special connections to the creator. The ring is stamped sterling and hallmarked by the artist.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

I saw a very similar bracelet in a shop in Santa Fe, NM but it was much too pricey for me. I thought I would never have such a beautiful piece of Navajo history and culture. I came home from my vacation, found this website and ordered this lovely bracelet

I looked over the selection many times before deciding on my selection. i was concerned about the ring looking as it did in the photo and the size being true. i was pleasantly surprised on both accounts, the ring looked much better in real life.
