DESCRIPTION:
There is nothing at all average about this beautiful necklace and pendant set! In this Native American jewelry set, the pendant is hand crafted by artist M Begay, out of authentic sterling silver and Malachite stone. The stone is gently set in a hand cut bezel. The necklace may be worn with or without the pendant. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked by the artist. The necklace is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and Malachite beads. The necklace consists of: 2-mm silver round beads and 8-mm Malachite round beads. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for an elegant finish. The cones are stamped sterling.
Malachite is famous for its radial banding and deep green color. Popular today for use in Southwestern style jewelry, malachite was also popular in the past with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. It was worn as a good luck charm to keep away danger and illness. It is believed to balance and stabilize ones emotions.
