MATERIALS: Sterling Silver and real Turquoise. MEASUREMENTS: Pendant measures approximately 2-1/2" long (including bail) and 1-1/4" at widest point. DESCRIPTION: Expect plenty of compliments while wearing this stunning pendant! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Irvin Tsosie, out of genuine sterling silver and THREE real Turquoise stones. The stones are delicately set in hand cut bezel settings, while hand crafted silver work can be seen to form a Naja design. Silver work and traditional designs accent the rest of the pendant for a beautiful finish. The pendant is stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked. Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
