DESCRIPTION:
There is nothing at all average about this beautiful pair of earrings! This piece of Native American jewelry was Zuni hand crafted by artist Sylvin Noche, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Opal inlay. The inlay is delicately set, creating an adorable butterfly design. Mini silver beads and thin silver lines accent the earrings for a lovely finish. The earrings are signed Zuni and by the artist.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
