DESCRIPTION:
Expect plenty of compliments while wearing this stunning pair of earrings! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted, by artist Etta Larry, out of authentic sterling silver and man made Blue Opal stones. A total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) are carefully placed in hand cut bezel settings, while being complimented with mini silver stamped beads and hand cut silver work that creates wonderful silver feather designs. Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force. The earrings are stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
