DESCRIPTION:
Excellent craftsmanship is shown throughout this amazing pair of earrings! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted, by artist Mark Davis, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Blue Opal stones. A total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) are delicately laid in hand cut bezel settings, while being accented with mini silver beads and hand cut silver work that creates wonderful silver feather and leaf designs. Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force. The earrings are stamped sterling.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
