Sterling silver and man made Opal.

MEASUREMENTS:

Hook dangle earrings measure approximately 1-5/8" long (including hook) and 3/8" at widest point. 

DESCRIPTION:

This is a very exquisite pair of earrings that must not be overlooked! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Isabelle Yazzie, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Opal stones. The earrings have a total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) that are delicately placed in hand cut bezel settings, while mini sterling silver beads can be seen highlighting the top and bottom of the stone for a fabulous finish. The earrings are stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Sanskrit word "Upala" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
