Post earrings measure approximately 3/4" long and 1/2" at widest point. 

DESCRIPTION:

You will absolutely fall in love with this stunning pair of earrings! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by artist Tracy Bowekaty, out of genuine sterling silver and real multicolor inlay. The inlay consists of: real Oyster Shell, Coral, Lapis, and Malachite. The Oyster Shell is hand carved to look like individual pieces of corn, then it is carefully placed into a corn shaped silver setting. In Oyster Shell, other stones can be seen resembling different colors of corn. Silver beads can be seen accenting the earrings for a perfect finish. The corn is a powerful symbol in many tribes. It is used for prayer of fertility and a good growing season. Earrings are signed by the artist.

Oyster shells are said to represent protection, abundance, and fertility. In many spiritual traditions, they symbolize the power of creation. The spiral pattern is often associated with growth, renewal, and cycles of life. Some believe these pieces to have a pure calming power, while others believe that they bring a sense of awareness and understanding.

Corals are known to be very soothing and very protective. Coral is of an organic origin; it is the skeletal remains of marine animals called Coral Polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls.
