DESCRIPTION:
This pair of earrings is a Navajo classic! This piece of Native American jewelry was Navajo hand crafted by artist Nathaniel Johnson, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Blue Opal inlay. The inlay is carefully set, while thin silver lines can be seen adding style in between for a fabulous finish. The earrings are stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
