Pendant measures approximately 3" long (including bail) and 2-1/2" at widest point. Necklace measures approximately 21" long. The necklace and pendant weighs 108 grams. Post dangle earrings measure 1-1/4" long and 1/4" wide, weighing 5 grams.
DESCRIPTION:
This gorgeous necklace is absolutely distinctive in each and every way! This piece of art is hand crafted by Navajo artist, Sheena Jack. In this necklace set, the pendant is Navajo hand crafted out of genuine sterling silver and real Malachite stones. A total of EIGHT stones are delicately placed in hand cut bezel settings, while hand crafted silver work creates a beautiful Naja design, with a fancy bail. Twisted silver, mini silver beads, imprinted designs, and silver flowers accent the pendant for a striking look. The pendant is stamped .925 (sterling) and is hallmarked. The necklace is hand strung out of 3-mm silver round beads and real 9-mm Malachite round beads. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for a phenomenal finish. The cones are stamped sterling. To complete this beautiful set, the earrings consits of 3mm and 9mm silver and Malachite round beads.
Malachite is famous for its radial banding and deep green color. Popular today for use in Southwestern style jewelry, malachite was also popular in the past with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. It was worn as a good luck charm to keep away danger and illness. It is believed to balance and stabilize ones emotions.
