This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Verley Betone, out of genuine sterling silver, and man made Opals. The center piece has a total of FOUR stones that are carefully set in hand cut bezel settings, while mini and stamped silver beads can be seen accenting for an adorable finish. The center piece is stamped sterling and hallmarked. Each link in the necklace is perfectly connected together to create this gorgeous chain. The necklace is stamped .925 (sterling silver).
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone.
