DESCRIPTION:

The beautiful features in this ring will make you appreciate Native American art! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Betty Begay, out of genuine sterling silver, along with real Howlite and Turquoise stones. The ring has a total of TWO stones that are carefully placed in hand cut bezel settings, while being accented by hand crafted silver work for a marvelous finish. The ring is stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked.

Howlite is named after its discoverer Henry How. Howlite is known for its great final polish and rich luster. Howlite is often mistaken for "white buffalo" or "white turquoise" due to the similarity of appearance. Howlite is a combination of pure white with black veins; highlighting the beauty and balance of opposites. Howlite has high calcium content for strong healthy bones and teeth. It would make a wonderful gift for a pregnant or nursing mother.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

My recent purchaseincluded 1 pendant, 1 bracelet and 4 rings. One great feature is that you can purchased based on ring siz for a assured proper fit. I have received many complimentary comments at work on my exceptional finds. Another plus is that given my inability to effectly purchase on line, their customer service rep (Amy) is pleasant, helpful and friendly. It is nice to know there is such a willingness to help those having special needs. Thank you.
