Looking at such beauty tells the capabilities of Native American art! This fantastic style of Navajo art is called horse hair pottery, because actual horse hair is added to the pottery at just the right moment in the firing process to melt the hairs into the pottery, creating gorgeous and detailed designs. This lovely Native American pot is hand etched and hand painted with Bear designs and traditional designs by Navajo artist Amber Willie. The pot is signed by the artist.

In Native American beliefs, the bear symbolizes physical strength, leadership, and is known as the "first helper."
