Pot measures approximately 3-3/4" tall, 2-1/4" wide, and is 5-3/8" long (front to back).

This beautiful style of Navajo art is called horse hair pottery because actual horse hair is added to the pottery at just the right moment in the firing process to melt the hairs into the pottery, creating unique and incredible designs. This amazing Bear pottery was Navajo hand etched and painted, with tradintional patterns and a striking bear paw design, by artist Larry Livingston. The pottery is signed by the artist.

In Native American beliefs, the bear symbolizes physical strength, leadership, and is known as the "first helper".

    My third purchase
Posted by Jerome G. | Reviewing NativeAmericanJewelry.com | Posted on
I bought a nice pendant this time along with a sterling bear claws money clip. This is great value for hand made jewelry. As I mentioned previously, I guarantee anyone can find something beautiful and affordable. There also was a discount so keep an eye out for those. Shipping is always free and fast.

The picture didn't do the opals justice. The ring was more beautiful in person and fit perfectly.
