DESCRIPTION:

This pair of earrings is a true treasure! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by artist Amy Wesley, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Opal inlay. The inlay is carefully set, creating a lovely teardrop shape. Thin silver lines and shadow box bezel settings add style for a phenomenal finish. The earrings are hallmarked.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is birthstone of October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
