DESCRIPTION:

We bring to you this adorable necklace set! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by artist Beverly Etsate, out of genuine sterling silver and real multicolor inlay. The inlay consists of: Turquoise, Oyster Shell, Lapis, Malachite, and White Shell. The necklace has a total of THREE links, The Oyster Shell is hand carved to look like individual pieces of corn, then it is gently placed into a corn shaped silver setting. In the Oyster Shell, other stones can be seen resembling different colors of corn. Mini silver beads and hand crafted silver work can be seen accenting for a gorgeous finish. The corn is a powerful symbol in many tribes. It is used for prayer of fertility and a good growing season. The necklace is signed by the artist and signed Zuni. The earrings perfectly match the necklace for a delightful look. The earrings are hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

Lapis is the perfect stone for wisdom and fortitude. It is also believed to be an excellent stone for decision makers. It helps increase psychic ability.

    Walking in beauty!
Posted by Deborah M. | Reviewing NativeAmericanJewelry.com | Posted on
I absolutely love the beautiful jewelry that you offer! The whole experience from ordering, to shipping, was so very easy. The only difficulty was choosing from your entire selection! The quality and artistry in each item is top quality. I am so pleased with my turquoise and coral ring of Effie Calavaza, also my bear claw earrings! The prices were very reasonable as well. My late mother, as do I, always admired Native American culture and I got my love for silver and turquoise from her. The Irish have known troubles much as the Native People of this country and she found many similarities between the two. Both the mystical and spiritual qualities are possessed by each culture. I will definitely be buying from you again! Thank you! Deborah Miller
