This is a very gorgeous necklace that would make a great gift! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and Malachite beads. The necklace is made up of TWO strands that consist of: 4-mm silver round beads and 4-mm Malachite beads. The necklace can be worn one of two ways, loosely around the neck or slightly twisted for an additional fashion statement. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone for a beautiful look. The cones are stamped sterling.
Malachite is famous for its radial banding and deep green color. Popular today for use in Southwestern style jewelry, malachite was also popular in the past with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans.
