DESCRIPTION:

You will absolutely fall in love with this stunning pin pendant! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by artist Emma Edaakie, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Multicolor Opal Inlay. The inlay cosists of: Fire Opal, Blue Opal, White Opal, Pink Opal, Purple Opal, and Yellow Opal. The inlay is carefully set to form an elegant butterfly design, while being accented by hand cut silver work for a dazzling look. The pin pendant is signed Zuni and hallmarked.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
