DESCRIPTION:

Looking at such beauty tells the capabilities of Native American art! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by Effie Calavaza, out of genuine sterling silver, real Turquoise stones, and Corals. The Bolo piece has a total of NINE stones, FOUR of which are inlayed to create the snakes eyes, while the other FIVE are set in hand cut bezel, in the midst of stunning silver snake designs. Imprinted designs and silver beads add style and character to the earrings. The snake is found in many healing and fertility rituals. It is also connected with lightning, speed, and the ability to move undetected. The tips of the bolo tie are accented with traditional imprinted designs. The bolo tie is stamped Zuni and hallmarked by the artist.

Corals are known to be very soothing and very protective. Coral is of an organic origin; it is the skeletal remains of marine animals called Coral Polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.

    Walking in beauty!
Posted by Deborah M. | Reviewing NativeAmericanJewelry.com | Posted on
I absolutely love the beautiful jewelry that you offer! The whole experience from ordering, to shipping, was so very easy. The only difficulty was choosing from your entire selection! The quality and artistry in each item is top quality. I am so pleased with my turquoise and coral ring of Effie Calavaza, also my bear claw earrings! The prices were very reasonable as well. My late mother, as do I, always admired Native American culture and I got my love for silver and turquoise from her. The Irish have known troubles much as the Native People of this country and she found many similarities between the two. Both the mystical and spiritual qualities are possessed by each culture. I will definitely be buying from you again! Thank you! Deborah Miller
