DESCRIPTION:
Looking at such beauty tells the capabilities of Native American art! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted, by artist Adelarae Yazzie, out of authentic sterling silver and man made Blue Opal stones. A total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) are gently placed in hand cut bezel settings, while being accented with mini silver beads and hand cut silver work that creates dazzling silver feather designs. Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force. The earrings are stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
