Sterling Silver and real Turquoise.
Hook dangle earrings measure approximately 2-3/8" long and 3/4" at widest point.
There is nothing at all average about this beautiful pair of earrings! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Jeff James, out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise stones. This pair of earrings has a total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) that are carefully set in hand cut bezel settings, while being accented by stamped patterns and cut out arrowhead designs. A silver feather dangles at the end for a dazzling finish. Arrows usually signify direction of travel, force, and movement. Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force. The earrings are stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
