This is a wonderful piece of Navajo artistry! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Daniel Benally, out of genuine sterling silver and a real Malachite stone. The stone is carefully placed in a hand cut bezel setting, while twisted silver, mini stamped silver beads, and hand cut silver work can be seen accenting for an exquisite finish. The pendant is hallmarked.
Malachite is famous for its radial banding and deep green color. Popular today for use in Southwestern style jewelry, malachite was also popular in the past with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. It was worn as a good luck charm to keep away danger and illness. It is believed to balance and stabilize ones emotions.
