DESCRIPTION:

This ring is a true treasure! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted by artist Marlene Shekya, out of genuine sterling silver along with a Cubic Zirconia stone and man made Opal inlay. The stone is delicately placed in a silver prong setting at the center of the ring, while the inlay is carefully set on either side of the stone. Thin silver lines can be seen accenting in between the inlay for a lovely finish. The ring is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is birthstone of October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
